I was even happier that the cream color roses
were in bunches of rose buds AND opened roses.
I got the LAST bunch of the opened roses too!
No this isn't the wedding ring.
This was the PRETTIEST lace!!! There were little pearls inside the roses.
You'll be able to see the pearls better in some later pics.
I liked it so much that even though it was white and NOT cream I had to get it!
Oh ya ... I did say this was a "CANDY" bouquet. This was the same mold I used for Erica's wedding. Erica's were blue/white - cotton candy/vanilla. I made the wedding cake suckers with regular sucker sticks and I used skewers for some of the suckers because I was going to need the different heights. TA DA apple red and cream colored. Flavored in cherry vanilla. I bought some red foil twist ties and curled them. I did the same for Erica's but her's were silver. I attempted to get red dots on the cake but this wasn't easy. The red wasn't cherry flavored, I just wanted the color. These were actually peanut butterscotch under the thin white layer. I needed to use the colors and the butterscotch wasn't white. Photography isn't my gift but I thought these looked much better on a black background. The only thing is you can see that I hadn't trimmed the edges yet in this shot. This was the back side. It wasn't smooth because I needed to add extra candy over the stick in order to make sure it was secure and wouldn't fall off. I liked the taste of these better than the cherry/vanilla ones. I had extra candy so I used this smaller version of the bride & groom. I didn't have time to use this for Erica. I thought this was a cute mold because it looks like they are taking their vows. I didn't know how to package these so I used some pink tissue paper in one of my candy boxes. The red paper subtracted from the candy color and I didn't have white. I had just about every other color but no white..go figure. I also made some peanut butterscotch ones but I didn't have time to shoot them and they weren't that impressive anyway. The next 6 shots are pretty much the same but I turned the vase
so the variation in the candy layers could be seen.
I used red & white sixlets.
You can see those little pearls in the lace better in this shot.
I had to use the red cello inside the vase for 2 reasons. One because I didn't want the food touching the styrofoam blocks inside. And two because I needed the support for the suckers and flowers. AND NO I WASN'T JUST BEING CHEAP BY NOT FILLING THE WHOLE VASE WITH SIXLETS
Since the backside of some of the suckers didn't look that nice, I added some doilies to hide the backing. The only reason I did this was because the vase wasn't just a front view. It was a surround filled view. The peanut butterscotch bride & groom suckers didn't look that bad even though they were all in the same color. I didn't take any individual shots of these.
Same shot just rotated the vase a bit more. I shot this and the following pics in my kitchen because I thought the lighting and angle was better.
Same as previous pic just rotated
I got more of the base in this pic.
Ok I know it's not very professional looking with the frig in the background.
Tried to get a top view angle which was another reason I moved into the kitchen.
Then for the almost perfect gift bag. It was the right color but the wrong size.
It only held the vase. When I put it inside the bag the whole top part stuck out but
I couldn't find a better matching bag so I went with it anyway.
I didn't really like the lighting in the kitchen after all or
maybe it was the fact that the frig was cream colored too?
Guess I'm going to have to start working on a photo shooting spot.
You may kiss the Bride
BYE BYE SEE YA IN 6 WEEKS
I added this later and thanks again Brandy for the sweetest compliment I've ever had "I made you cry"...
